With Your Help We Can Achieve More
Our nonprofit is at the beginning phase and our vision is to support athletics in Haiti along with creating greater awareness to kids in areas across Haiti that have exceptional athletic abilities. To attain this goal, we understand the need for an athletic development center that would be accompanying these young athletes all throughout their journey. The athletic development center would provide coaching, have different types of equipment needed for physical training and strength conditioning, offer mentoring and exposure to recruiters. We hope to open with some of the main sports already popular among Haitians such as basketball, soccer, volleyball, and track. Eventually, we hope to introduce other sports like football, boxing, softball, baseball, and gymnastics to our participants.
We have a board of members, all individuals with strong ties to Haiti. John Robert Veillard, accountant and a native of Haiti, holds a degree in accounting from Transylvania University and is a former student-athlete in college. Jean Virgile, also from Haiti and a former student-athlete in college, graduated with a business degree from Kentucky Christian University. Kermann Joseph, Haitian native and a former student-athlete, graduated with an accounting degree from Kentucky Christian University. We also have Jon Wessel who was a missionary in Haiti for 10 years. Finally, I am Henrico Bruce Aurelus, the last member and founder of this organization. I graduated with a degree in business from Kentucky Christian University and I am also a former student-athlete in high school back in Haiti.
Our organization was recently approved to operate as a 501(c) 3 entity; thus, we look forward to partnering with donors who are willing to support our vision through tax-deductible contributions and other like-minded individuals, sport-related organizations, and other nonprofits with similar interests to form long term partnerships.
