Witten Family Fund
Donation protected
Katie Witten is a sweet, kind, 32-year-old mama who has recently transitioned to hospice (end-of-life) care. We are raising funds to help her and her beautiful family as they face the challenging days ahead.
Katie has been living with stage four bile duct cancer formally called Cholangiocarcinoma since March 2022. This aggressive and not yet-understood cancer has an average life expectancy of 6 months and she has battled strongly for just over a year. Her care team has attempted every medical option to extend her life.
Until recently, due to the advancement of her cancer and her prognosis, Katie was transitioned to end-of-life care to keep her comfortable and at home with her young family. There were dozens of appointments, a few hospital stays, and several surgeries throughout this battle.
Those who love Katie would describe her as a courageous, caring, and loving woman who is strong in her faith. She is a fantastic wife, a loving mother, and a beacon of light to everyone she encounters.
She is a native of Gallatin, Tennessee and currently lives in Vine Grove, Kentucky with her husband Doug, 3 and 5-year-old children, and 9 and 10-year-old stepchildren. Her family are active members at Gracepointe Baptist Church in Louisville, KY.
Doug, her husband of 7 years, has been by her side every step of the way. Doug is a disabled Army Veteran who was injured serving our country in 2010. He is now a Realtor concentrating on the Central KY area.
This wonderful family is facing uncertain times ahead as they plan Katie’s final days and funeral. Some other large expenses include medical bills, Christian school tuition, vehicle maintenance, and food-cost (especially during recent hospital stays).
Please uplift them in your prayers during the days ahead and consider contributing to this fund that goes directly to the Witten Family.
