Our son, Christopher Archer, began his day two weeks ago, with a slight fever, and just not feeling well. Today, he's in the ICU, with Heart, Kidney, Lung, and other problems. He doesn't have any health insurance, making just enough money to make ends meet, and these medical expenses will be growing exponentially.
We will use the much appreciated donations to pay his medical bills. We have already begun paperwork for the Medical Center's Charity Foundation, but they have told us that this will not pay for the Doctors...and there will be many Specialists helping to get our boy back on his feet....with huge expenses. We honestly feel that the $10,000 we hope to achieve will still only touch the bills, but it's a start.
Chris is 29 years old, and is our only son. Claudia (mother), Jenn (sister), Michael (nephew), and I ...as well as all the friends and family are scared to death, as his sudden illnesses shocked us beyond belief. We thought he was just a little dehydrated, and suddenly find that he's got multiple Emboli in his lungs, as well as Endocarditis, and even the chance of Lymphoma (Cancer), but the Doctors are working to take care of his Heart, Lungs, and Kidneys before they even begin to deal with Lymphoma.

Chris has always been a great son, helping us whenever we asked. I am away from home almost 50% of our lives, and he has always picked up the slack as "man of the house", helping his Mom, even after he had moved into his own home down the road.
He's made friends with just about everyone he has ever met, and as I'm sure most of you who are reading this know, is the sort of guy who will give you the shirt off his back, or as he has actually done, get up in the middle of the night to help a friend.
Well, now, he needs the help of his friends.
Sadly, Chris passed away on Christmas morning. He has joined his grandparents in heaven. We never expected this, as Drs had told us he was improving. Now we have to deal with the expenses of cremation and a memorial for our beloved son.
