Pray for Iggy

Iggy had complications recently from her ovariohysterectomy. Her body developed abnormal tissue that was so severe it fused some of her organs together and occluded her kidney, which caused her kidney to get very swollen. Iggy developed a bad infection and her body was fighting really hard to keep her going. She stopped eating which also caused her blood level to get really low. She needed emergent life saving surgery to see what was happening inside of her body. The Dr.’s had to remove her kidney and cut out some of her bowel that was fused together. She also needed a feeding tube. The Dr.’s are really concerned she may not recover. She has since then been getting IV fluids and medicine and most recently required a blood transfusion. On the bright side everyday has gotten stronger and stronger. She is now starting to eat on her own and has had mostly normal blood lab values. Her glucose and albumin levels are now better and even has recently got to walk outside. We are not out of the window yet, the doctors want to watch her for a few more days (she got admitted on Tuesday) to make sure she is out of that critical post operative recovery window. The doctors are very hopeful and so are we!
