Lucy’s ACL surgery

Hello, 

A few days ago I was walking my dog Lucy by a river and she was running around on the rocks having fun chasing stuff as usual. When I got home she had a slight limp which has happened before so I gave her some meds the vet gave me earlier this summer to hopefully ease her joint pain.

The next day her limp was a lot worse and she would hardly put any weight on her right rear leg. I called the vet and got an appointment a few days later. After a short examination the vet said he was certain she had a tear in her ACL and needs a TPLO surgery. The vet gave me a quote for between 3700-3975$ for the surgery... I asked if they would do a payment plan to which they said no. After calling around town it appears I’ll either have to pay the $4000 to hopefully get Lucy’s leg back orshe will live the rest of her life limping and unable to chase things like she loves so much.

I don’t know what to do, I’ve never made a go fund me or done anything like this but I’m desperate. I’m a full time college student working in food service and living alone, I can hardly afford my rent let alone a $4000 surgery. 

Lucy is still so happy and full of energy and I just don’t want her to live out the rest of her life in pain and unable to do the things she loves.
