Juliana Pantoja’s Cancer Battle Fund!

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Manuel Miranda, I live in Redford, Michigan with my two sister’s, Yaritza Miranda, Zalma Miranda, my dad, Adolfo Miranda, and my mom Juliana Pantoja. My mother is 49 years old, her 50th birthday is on June 26 of 2020. She is so young... Over the last couple months my mother has had trouble eating and keeping food down when she did. She had appointments with the clinic she usually went to, to have some tests done. With all the Coronavirus stuff going on her appointment was canceled and the clinic told her that they were only offering online sessions with doctors over the phone. She needed more help than that though, after suffering horrendous abdominal pain and not being able to take in nutrients, she couldn’t take it anymore. We took her to the ER on Wednesday night, June 10. She had a couple X-Rays done and the doctor told us that she needed an emergency surgery. My mother was diagnosed with a very advanced case of Ovarian Cancer that spread very viciously to her stomach, abdomen, and intestines. We had absolutely no idea of how this possibly could have happened to such an amazing woman. My mother has always been there for any of us no matter the situation, my mom always looked at our friends as her children too and treated them as such. She was the mom that worked full time as a waitress, and as well a mom, she always came to every single on of my baseball or football games, she was always there. She never missed anything. She’s one of those people that sees the good in everyone, despite what had happened in the past. When the doctor let us down with the news, it was agonizing. Not only what has been happening to my mom over the last few
months, but how we were ever going to be able to afford it. The surgeon talked to my father and me about Chemotherapy, and how it might be able to help my mother. At least maybe shrink the cancer down a little bit. While I was doing research, I read that a standard Chemotherapy Session ranges anywhere from $1,000-$12,000 depending on the type of Chemotherapy she will need. My dad always worked two jobs, mostly full time at both, and my mom worked full time too just to put food on the table. Without my mother’s income, we have no idea how we will make it work. Me as her son, I try to work as close as I can to full time while still going to College full time, paying out of pocket for the most part. My mother is sitting in that hospital bed right now, not thinking on how she’s going to get better, but how we are going to be able to pay the hospital bills. The bills are not what she should be worried about. She needs to be worried about getting better and being able to come home, walk on her own, and actually eat real food. Any help at all is more than enough. We are just a small family trying to get by, with our mother, wife, best friend, and greatest nurturer in the world at our side. Thank you so much for your time, and thank you so much for your help. We hope to get my mother as healthy as we possibly can that way we can baby her the way she babied all of us our whole lives.
