Cameron's Medical Bills
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Anna. I am fundraising for my son's medical expenses. On April 8, 2023, Cameron Lowrance was involved in a one-vehicle, head-on collision with a tree. He was found unconscious on the side of the road. EMTs had to use the Jaws of Life to extract him from the vehicle. After 20 minutes they were able to load him into an ambulance. He was transferred to med-flight and flown to UAMS. Upon arrival, he had a CT and multiple X-rays done. It was discovered that he had broken his humerus, ulna and radius on his right arm. His right femur had jammed into his Pelvic bone so that it was "Free Floating" into his abdomen. Cameron's jaw was broken as well as the temporal bones above the jaw. He received 20 stitches below his bottom lip while in the ER. By God's grace, he was not bleeding internally and had no visible brain damage. The next day, on his 20th birthday, he was in surgery for about 8 hours as the surgeons worked on him. His jaw will have to heal on its own. As he was being discharged we noticed on the paperwork that it was listed that the L5 in his vertebrae was also fractured.
Cameron has been restricted to a liquid diet for 4 weeks. He is not able to bear any weight on his right leg or arm. Balancing to walk is not possible, so he is on bed rest and wheelchair-bound for 6 weeks. After which time he will hopefully be released for physical therapy. He is struggling with hearing loss in his left ear.
Unfortunately, Cameron will be unable to work for at least a couple of months as his body heals. He will continue to have truck payments as well as medical bills and rent fees on top of planning for a wedding. Every small amount will help him and his fiance, Mackenzie, and would be greatly appreciated.
