This is Frankie our 6 1/2 year old Presa. He joined our family as a rescue 4 1/2 years ago. Frankie was abused and miss treated is his past life, then he found his forever home with us. Unnfortainatly we have had some devastating cancer diagnosis with our dogs lately. Frankie just recently lost his best friend Hera who was 5 1/2 to Osteosarcoma. And now two weeks after our loss of Hera, Frankie has been diagnosed with Acanthomatous Ameloblastoma, this is a cancerous tumor in the mouth. Frankie's mouth cancer is malignant and requires immediate surgery due to the invasiveness of the tumor, he will be loosing a portion of his lower jaw to remove the tumor. However once this tumor is removed the prognosis of survival is very positive and he will be able to live to be a old dog man! The surgery will be performed at UPenn Vet School on June 22nd. Without this procedure Frankie's end result will be death and we can not go through that again with such a young dog. This procedure runs around $3000 - $4000. Unfortunately we have spent the majority of our reserve money fighting Hera's battle with cancer and are at a lack of funds for Frankie's battle. Another loss of our furry kids would be devastating to our family as you can see from the pictures below Frankie is a loved and active member of our family. Any help would be greatly cherished and accpted with humbleness and will be paid forward one day when we have the capacity to do so ourselves. Thank you.
