Tinotenda Nyandoro’s Education Trust
Donation protected
Tinotenda Nyandoro was a first-generation low-income student from Mutoko, Zimbabwe who earned a full ride scholarship to Stanford University as part of the Class of 2024. He tragically passed on in a car accident in September 2022 while in Zimbabwe. Tino was passionate about universal access to education and opportunities. He believed that genius is evenly distributed, opportunity is not. Tino aggresively pursued this personal mission by organizing workshops, mentoring and sponsoring students from Southern Africa looking to explore opportunities beyond their communities and climb the social mobility ladder. At the time of his untimely death, he was affliated with United Nations Acaemic Impact , Project Access, Project Destined and Donald Strauss Foundation. He was now the breadwinner for his family and sponsored school fees for about 20 students within and outside his family. As one of his closest friends wrote in attribute to his life:
“Tino always sacrificed himself for others. He helped because he cared and was passionate about bringing transformative change to people’s lives.”
We would like to establish an education trust in Tino’s name to help ensure that Tino’s beneficiaries continue to attend school. Our fundraising goal is $10,000. Any contribution you make will have an immense impact on the lives of the young people Tinotenda cared so dearly about.
