Hi. My name is Lou (Lourdes), I'm 19 from Venezuela and I want you to take a bit of your time to read this.
So our country (Venezuela) has been officially declared under Dictatorship. Our president Nicolás Maduro "won" (illegally) the Constitutional Assembly he imposed (also illegally) a couple of months ago. As a President, you should first ask venezuelan people if they agree going further with the Constitution change or not, a step he skipped and was a hundred percent supported by the SUPREME COURT of our country, which not only proves he is corrupt but also proves our highest court and our judicial system is corrupt.
Our Vicepresident, Tareck El Aissami, is one of the most wanted Drug Lords. He's been getting money off drug trafficking and has been issued an official red code by the U.S Department of Treasury not long ago, meaning that if he goes out of Venezuela, he goes to jail.
The money in USD the government officially acquires is stolen by our highest ranking officials and stolen from the Venezuelan people to themselves. Tareck El Aissami has been officially confirmed to have more than 500 thousands of USD gotten by both drug trafficking and stolen money.
So now that I gave you a bit of a summary of what's been happening in Venezuela, I wanna tell you how could you help me a bit... My parents and I along with my brother have been planing to move countries (to Colombia) for a year or so now and the process has costed so much money in both Bolívares and Dollars.
Our dollar costs BsF. 12,197 as of today August 1st and our min wage is BsF. 90,000 plus (around $12 per month). Our inflation is so high in less than 6 months it will be impossible for us to buy anything off our salaries, when it's already impossible for half our population.
This money isn't for me, It's mostly for both of my parents who are the ones working hard every single day of their lives to feed us and keep us in good health. I'm really sorry in advance if I'm asking for too much money, but believe it or not that's more than enough for us and it will help us recover a lot of money spent in travels and also will help us leave to Colombia.
