When Magic Touches Stone: Fund our Film Festival Tour
Donation protected
My name is Blake Christ. I am a writer/director/actor, and along with Greg Callahan, we created a short film under our label Fictionworks19. When Magic Touches Stone is a tragedy through and through. A prehistoric Man and his partner (Woman) suffer a stillborn death. Their relationship dissolves, and Man is visited by a magic-wielding priest. While our nearly nonexistent budget allowed us to finish the film, we have no funding to take the film to festivals. Please, support our art by giving When Magic Touches Stone a watch and like below. If you think Fictionworks19 should be able to take When Magic Touches Stone to festivals, please help us with our funding goal.

Why do we need so many festival entries?
As you might have noticed, many of these festivals are outside of the U.S. There are a few reasons to have our film seen across the world. For one, the invented language in WMTS makes the short perfect for an international audience. Also, many festivals have rewards that include entry into more prestigious awards, ie. The Academy Awards or BAFTA. The more people see the film the more likely WMTS is recognized, and perhaps our career as filmmakers furthered.
If we only need so much to enter the above festivals, why are we asking for $3,130.39 more?
Once again, these festivals are not only spread across the U.S. but are hosted around the world. If WMTS is chosen to be screened at any festival, we would like the opportunity to attend if possible. This could mean required international travel, which is obviously expensive. We don't have exact estimates for these expenses. The amount we are attempting to raise will not allow us to attend all of the festivals we want to submit to, nor do we expect recognition from all festivals. We just want the opportunity to be able to meet people in the field and possibly talk about our work with them.
Furthermore, if we decide not to travel, every cent we recieve will either go towards more festivals, or future projects.
Every bit counts! Even the cost of one entry being sponsored makes our dreams come true. Thank you so much in advance.
