Supporting Stephanie

Stephanie Vielhauer-Mashburn, mother of two, wife and pre-school teacher, had to undergo a hysterectomy on 3/21/17, in an effort to eliminate a long time battle with extreme daily pain, irregular menstruation cycles and bleeding. The decision to have a hysterectomy did not come easy and was performed as a last ditch effort. As a result of the surgery and Stephanie’s overtaxed immune system, Stephanie contracted viral meningitis while recovering at home. She was admitted into the hospital and her health declined even more. She was unable to open her eyes, hold her head up or consume solid foods. Due to medical issues last year, medical complications this year and a high medical insurance deductible, Stephanie and I are in $15,000 in medical bill debt and lost wages. I am an independent contractor, and have been unable to work because I have been taking care of Stephanie and our two children. As an independent contractor, if I don’t work, I don’t get paid and am losing the opportunity to make wages every day.  Stephanie has poured her heart and soul into being the best wife, awesome mother and dedicated teacher.
