Therapy for Tyrese

Hi everyone:

My son Tyrese is 10. He was born with a rare chromosomal anomaly. He is missing the bundle of nerves (corpus callosum) that allows the left hemisphere of his brain to communicate with the right side. He presents with seizure disorder, hypothyroid, hypotonia and other complications. Thus he is very developmentally delayed. His pediatrition recently told me he falls under the cerebral palsy umbrella.
Many people believe that therapies for theses kids are paid for by the government. All too often I've heard people say" the government takes care of disabled kids". Talk to any family with a disabled child and you will find out that that is not the truth. Over the years I have found a number of alternative therapies that helped to change his life. A few children's charities have helped and I have exhausted their help with his numerous needs. He has progressed from not being able to hold up his head and body, or interact with his enviroment for a number of years to army crawling, walking with support and exploring and playing with toys. He walks very strong with minimal support, but has balance and body in space issues.
I'd like to do a new therapy with him called the Therasuite Intensive Therapy . I believe this will help with his proprioceptive and balance allowing him to be able to walk independently. The cost is $5,500 for three weeks , 3 hours a day, five days a week.

Many people take walking for themselve or their children for granted. Not everyone is blessed with attaining this ability without a struggle. I am a single parent and it breaks my heart that I do not have the means to help my son reach his potential. I'm asking for your help. I have noticed that people like to help when someone is dead, that is commendable, don't get me wrong. However, I'm asking for help so my son can LIVE a more fulfilling life. If I'm able to secure the funding, I'll keep you up to date with progress videos on Tyrese's Facebook page under the search " Let's Help Ty" . There you can see his videos and find out more about his journey. Thank you in advance and God bless you!
