Because cancer sucks …and nobody fights alone

Hi All,

My name is Jessica Vizenor and I’m reaching out for some help for a wonderful local couple whose lives were recently turned upside down because of the “C” word …

We were all devastated to learn that Sara (Whitcomb) Kruger was recently diagnosed with aggressive Stage 3 breast cancer. She is beginning treatment immediately to try to stop the cancer growth. The treatment plan is going to be a long and hard road with 5 months of chemo (in progress), then major surgery followed by 6 weeks of radiation and finally reconstruction surgery. As we have already learned…besides the insurance deductibles and medical items not covered, there are so many additional expenses like cold compresses for neuropathy, special gear to avoid lymphedema, transportations costs, etc that are all adding up quickly.

For the many people who have asked how they can help, we wanted to create a way to support Sara that will most certainly help both her and Brad with the high costs of treatment, the several months off of work, the extra things that she’ll need for recovery and will allow her to decide what would make her life a little easier along the way.

In addition, we encourage any and all prayers and positive thoughts for Sara and Brad! We all know Sara is incredibly strong, but we need ALL of her people to rally around her on this difficult journey!
