“Build a Bedroom”

My name is Lindsey McMorran. After the Marshall Fire destroyed so many houses in our community I knew we needed to do something. Together with a team of amazing women and so many volunteers from our community we are giving HOPE one room, one child at a time. Each child will receive new furniture, decor and some of their favorite things. This fire created a milestone memory for these kids that they’ll never forget. Our goal is to change the narrative, even if it’s just a little. We want the kids to look back and remember when they got a brand new took and they felt the love from so many people.

We launched this program right after the fires through our Facebook group Hope Lives Here Colorado. We post the wishlists and needs and it has been incredible to see people from around the world purchasing items! We’re starting this gofundme to help with the expense of furniture. We’ve partnered with some large furniture companies that will sell at cost and possibly even in bulk.

As of 1/26/22 we have over family 70 applications, that’s almost 200 bedrooms in need.
