Keep Andres Gomez at Berklee
My name is Andres Eduardo Gomez, an 19 years old music student from Venezuela. I have been in music since I was 7 years old, learning to play the drums, piano and guitar. On July 2015 I went to Berklee College of Music with a basic vocabulary in English, and I was able to make a good audition and interview with Berklee´s authorities. Having prepared and taken the Toefl Test, I was finally admitted as a regular student and granted a US$ 10,000.00 scholarship for spring and fall semester 2016 and 2017.
The economic situation in Venezuela is critical and it is very difficult for many students to go to study abroad. My parents have made a great economic effort, so I could finish spring and fall semester 2016 and spring semester 2017 in which I have obtained a 3.9 Grade Point Average. I will begin fall semester in September 2017 and my family and I still have to make two more payments of US$ 3,600.00 each to complete tuition.
I will really appreciate your support for keeping me at Berklee. When I get my Grammy Award, I will remember you for sure.

Mi nombre es Andrés Eduardo Gómez, estudiante de música de 19 años de edad de Venezuela. He estado con la música desde los 7 años de edad, aprendiendo a tocar la batería, piano y guitarra. En Julio 2015 fui a Berklee College of Music con un vocabulario básico en inglés, y fui capaz de hacer una buena audición y entrevista con las autoridades de Berklee. Habiéndome preparado y tomado el Toefl Test, fui finalmente admitido como estudiante regular y otorgado una beca de US$ 10,000.00 para los semestres de primavera y otoño 2016 y 2017.
La situación económica en Venezuela es crítica y se hace muy difícil para muchos jóvenes estudiar en el extranjero. Mis padres han hecho un gran esfuerzo económico para que yo pudiese finalizar tres semestres en el cual he obtenido un promedio académico de 3,9 puntos (sobre 4.0 puntos). Yo comenzaré el semestre de otoño en Septiembre 2017 y my familia y yo aún debemos realizar dos pagos adicionales de US$ 3,600.00 cada uno para completar la matrícula.
Mucho les agradeceré su apoyo para mantenerme en Berklee. Cuando obtenga mi Premio Grammy, me acordaré mucho de ustedes.
