Hello y'all, black queer person here making this gofundme so that I can get back into school to be a clinical psychologist.
I've been delaying this process for the longest, because saving a large sum of money has never been realistic for me considering I'm always in some random financial bend or taking care of family.
I currently owe BMCC money for my summer 2018 tuition, because my parent refused to give me their financial aid information so that I could go to school for free. As a result, I ended up owing my school money that has since been forwarded to a debt collector.
My dream has been to land a career working in mental health care as a psychologist so that I could work amongst my peers and give affordable services to black gay and trans youth. Working in mental health is the only career I've ever wanted to have and me owing my school money is honestly depressing. It's taken me a lot to make this and I just want to go back to school so I can do something that actually makes me happy and is fulfilling. Any amount would help.
