WODcelona & The Fitness Fund
Donation protected
I'm excited to share that I have officially qualified to compete in the inaugural Wodcelona competition in Barcelona in September! I’ve had my eye on this competition since last year's announcement, and am thrilled for this opportunity to represent the neuromuscular division.
To help cover competition costs, including travel, registration, & lodging, I've put together a gofundme, but with a twist. I want to use this platform as an opportunity to give back to businesses that are contributing positively to the adaptive community. A portion of the funds raised will be donated to the Fitness Fund through Fit to Function Recovery. We are also teaming up with PhatAsh Bakes who will generously donate proceeds from their chocolate chip cookie sales to the Fitness Fund through August.
What is it all about? Fit to Function is a neuro-adaptive fitness program that provides greater opportunity for recovery for stroke and brain injury survivors through functional fitness. It's also home to competitive adaptive athletes looking for neuro expertise to support their training. The Fitness Fund is a scholarship fund that was established to support athletes in need of financial assistance. Contributions provide personal training to help stroke & brain injury survivors get their lives back. Each scholarship recipient receives 10 sessions to kickstart their fitness journey.
Through generous contributions from the community, the Fitness fund has provided scholarship to four stroke survivors, ages 11-73, to help them find greater independence & functional recovery through fitness. I hope you will consider donating to my go fund me and indulging in some chocolate chip cookies in August so we can continue to bring fitness to those in need!
