Disowned for my sexuality, resulting destitution.

This is going to include some candid statements which is incredibly out of character for me.

I was recently disowned by my wife's family for my sexual orientation and my living situation became destitute. My wife and I are currently housed in a space unfit for human habitation. As you can see from the photo I've provided. There's a leak coming from the flat above, this steady trickle of raw sewage is causing black mould and mushrooms to grow on our ceiling. All things considered we are blessed to have been placed somewhere, and I'd like to thank the local council for allocating us with this flat. And I'd like to thank all British taxpayers for providing the council with the resources to be able to do so.

Me and my wife are both disabled, in different ways, and this damp has become detrimental to our respective conditions. While we both have mental and physical conditions I suffer more mentally, and my wife suffers more physically, we compliment each other in many ways and are able to help one another. Together we make one almost functional adult and I am very fortunate to have her in my life.

We have some debts, some of which are pressing, due to the sudden change in our fiscal environment. We are managing these debts and paying them off through tightening our belts and being financially responsible. This is something we are proud of, we do not live outside our means. That said, our living condition is driving us to a breaking point, both mentally and physically. The disrepair, the rowdy neighbours and the crime-filled neighbourhood have started to take a toll on us. We are on a waiting list to be moved, but this may take several years still. A recent incident has lead me to attempt this method of securing our future. I fear time may be running out, so the faster we reach the goal, the better.

Your charity would go towards my wife's idea to settle for life. We would buy a small plot of land in the countryside, have a small, eco-friendly binishell built and live in peace until we rest in peace. At the end of it all we will have left a much smaller footprint on the environment. We've been looking into it together, we've found many plots of land for around 5-10k, and to have our binishell built it would cost around 10-15k. So the 25k goal seems apt if we are overestimating costs. My wife becomes happy when she researches the best plots of land and the optimal binishell lay-out. It gives her a temporary distraction and rejuvenates her mental fortitude in these dire conditions. Hope is an incredibly powerful feeling to witness burn inside someone, yet so tragic to see wither away. My wife is unaware that I'm setting up this fundraiser, and I'd be more than thrilled to keep her in the dark. You see, this binishell, a secure future, that's my wife's dream. My dream is to see the look on my wife's face when she learns her life and future will finally be secure. It would mean so much to her. To us both. I want to give her the environment she needs to be able to process and come to terms with her past.

I'd love for you to know more if you are interested to learn, but for the sake of this fundraiser's marketability, I feel inclined to keep it short and sweet. As a result of this attempt to raise funds I will likely be making a blog where I'll be going into detail about who I am, and what my situation is like for those who are interested. I will not be elaborating on my wife's condition or her life story because it's not my place to do that. I am willing to remain transparent about my financial situation, so that you know your money will be going towards what I'm promising it will be going towards.

I have a Twitter, and I am quite crude. Alas, for transparency's sake, take a gander and consider if this is truly who you'd want your money to go to; https://twitter.com/Wolendov. I am what I am, and it took me a long time to come to terms with the fact that what I am is in need of help.

For those who are able and willing to offer any other form of help, such as pro-bono goods and services, feel free to contact me through Twitter.

To everyone who has read this and decided against donating, I'd like to thank you for your time. To everyone who has read this and decided to share my story, I'd like to thank you for your attention. To everyone who has read this and decided to donate to my cause, I'd like to thank you for your generosity. Should the tables ever turn, I will be paying it forward.
