The Wolff Sisters Make An Album
Donation protected
Hi, we are The Wolff Sisters & The Last Cavalry, a folk-rock band from Boston. Three of us are sisters (Rebecca, Rachael, and Kat), and have been playing music together ever since we were kids. We're from a musical family and were raised on Dylan, Springsteen, and the Band. Around two years ago, we expanded our trio to include bass and drums, changing our name from The Wolff Sisters to The Wolff Sisters & The Last Cavalry. Ever since, we have been touring around New England and the East Coast together, playing everywhere from small dive bars to opening for Grammy Award winning artist, Jim Lauderdale. We have released two EPs during this time.
We've had some wild adventures on tour this past summer, and appreciate all those who came out to see us perform. As the summer winds down, our focus has shifted to a new project. We're heading into the studio to record a full length album and we're raising money to make it happen!
As an independant band with no record company backing us, we do everything on our own. Not only do we work hard on tour to come up with the money to make records, but we do all the booking and promoting for those shows, too. We love it, but it can be a lot of work and sometimes what we earn falls short of our needs.
To make this album the way we want, without cutting any corners or compromising on our artistic choices, we decided to start this campaign. We need your help in raising money to make this happen! There are a lot of components that go into the creation of an album, such as recording, mixing, mastering, and production of the music. In addition to releasing CDs, we are going to be pressing vinyl. All of these steps have associated costs that can become overwhelming for a band that's still pretty fresh on the scene. We want to make this our *best* album yet, but can't do that without your help.
In return for donating to our campaign and pre-ordering the album, we are giving away some pretty cool gifts! With every gift, you receive a free digital-download of the new album. Some of the gifts we're offering are signed CDs and vinyls, a signed Mini Martin guitar that many of our songs were written on, and exclusive Wolff Sisters merch bundles. We even have a few secret gifts in the works to be released at a later date.
Our plan is to raise the funds by the end of October and release the album by January 2018. This will only be possible if we can reach our goal of $12,000. We will be sending out updates along the way for all those who have donated and claimed gifts.
Currently with only two EPs, we do not get as much recognition as we could. A high-quality, full length album will open doors for us to be able to share new music with our fans, start touring nationally, and perform at big festivals starting Summer 2018.
Any donation, large or small, will help!
Please share this campaign on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and any other social media you have. Tell your friends, family, coworkers, classmates--the more you share, the more this becomes possible!
If you havn't heard our music yet, check it out on our website: http://www.thewolffsisters.com
We wouldn't have made it to where we are without you. Thank you for all your love and continued support.
Peace, Love, and Rock N' Roll,
Rebecca, Rachael, Kat, Will, and Joe
