Operation: Wolverine Walk

Josh Guerrero is the creator of All-Around Adventure, a travel blog and podcast through which he shares amazing tales from afar and the all-important life lessons that go along with them. He's also a former United States Marine, Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, Archaeologist, and Adventurer who has now embarked on a whole new journey!

Currently, Josh is walking across the entire state of Michigan! He's following the North Country National Scenic Trail (NCNST), for a total distance of about 1,200 miles! Which will be the most audacious physical feat that he's ever done! And he's taking this on in order to raise money to help his fellow Veterans through a non-profit organization that he trusts.

Josh has teamed up with American Veterans Archaeological Recovery (AVAR) (formerly Operation Nightingale USA), a non-profit organization that's on a mission to promote the well-being of disabled Veterans transitioning to civilian life through field archaeology.

This unique approach is referred to as ‘Rehabilitation Archaeology ’. Veterans will have the opportunity to work on a variety of archaeological dig sites around the world! This will allow them to connect with other Veterans, work towards a mission of protecting cultural heritage, and set themselves up for success following the dig. Some of the dig sites that AVAR is looking to take Veterans to are located in countries like England, Italy, and here in the US!

Your tax-deductible donation will help provide transportation, food, housing, tools, and safety equipment for disabled Veterans and active-duty personnel while they're engaged in important archaeological fieldwork.

Josh is self-financing the entire cost of this expedition in Michigan. Meaning that 100% of all donations that come in will go directly towards helping Veterans through AVAR!
