Woman shot in St. Charles in front of her 2 sons

Hello, our family are attempting to raise funds for my sister and her two young sons who were recently involved in a near fatal domestic assault. On Saturday September 24th 2022 my sister was viciously assaulted by her ex partner while attempting to amicably cut ties and end their relationship. Unfortunately, the separation took a turn for the worse and she was shot in the face by the ex. My sister's quick thinking and devotion to her two young sons 6 and 8 who were present allowed her to escape and protect them from further attack. Thankfully, she survived the incident after her oldest son called 911. She is currently still in the hospital fighting for her life. Her children are safe with family but now the true journey to recovery begins. We are asking for any donation for the ongoing assistance with medical care, financial assistance that both her and her children will need during this rough transition to normalcy. She is a hardworking, devoted, loving, sweet and caring mother, daughter, sister and friend and we take great pride in being able to assist and support her through this ordeal. My sister and her children were victims of a heinous assault and we want to help them move on with less worry or stress. This unprovoked attacked has forever changed their lives but we will not allow this to be their story.
