The Problem:
The tech sector is one of the most dynamic and innovative industries. But despite its many successes, it still faces a significant problem: the gender gap. Women are significantly underrepresented in the tech sector, both in terms of numbers and leadership roles. A 2020 report by Girls Who Code revealed that women hold only 24% of computing jobs in the US, despite comprising nearly half of the workforce. Leadership roles are even more imbalanced, with women occupying a mere 5% of CEO positions in the top 100 tech companies.
Who We Are:
Women Talk Tech started as a podcast in 2017 but along the way became a collective of leaders committed to change. Today, the Women Talk Tech initiative is about leaders dedicated to ensuring more diverse representation in companies that are making technology decisions for our world.
Our goal is to get tech companies to actively work on programming to recruit and advance women in their organizations by building a community of tech leaders and companies committed to change.
Where Your Money Goes:
Since the very beginning, Women Talk Tech has been a passion project, funded out of our own pockets at Marketing Copilot®. It remains this way in 2025 for one simple reason: because it is important and necessary work, now more than ever. However, we cannot continue this work alone. It is for this reason that we humbly invite you or your organization to contribute to the Women Talk Tech initiative in any way that you can. With your support we are able to continue producing episodes, host community events, cover operational costs, and advance our mission.
Any and all support is appreciated.
With hope and gratitude,
