Weld Kayla to her Future

Donation protected
Today, over 70% of Americans wake up and head to jobs that make them miserable. And I too have been living in this cycle for the past fifteen years. I’ve dreamed of walking into a “job” that inspires me to be my best self; To work hard, creating useful furniture for people, experimenting with new mediums, making art, and providing a space for others to work and learn alongside me.

But as I’ve become a parent, my dream has pushed beyond myself. I dream of painting a vision for Jax where growth and achievement are life-long goals; showing him that he doesn’t have to spend his days at a job he hates, waiting around for the moment he can finally retire. I want him to know that life can offer so much more.

The best way for me to take the next step at achieving this vision is to attend the Georgia Trade School , a female-owned and operated technical school that promotes hands-on learning and truly cares for each of their students. Here, I will be learning the skills and techniques needed to become a welder.

It is a three-month, full-time program that encompasses the methodology and skills to be successful, provides all materials needed, and pays for all certification testing. Additionally, it will connect me with a future employer throughout the program (they have a 95% success rate in their job-placement program!)

But in order to break out of the cycle and make my dream a reality, I will need your help. Amie and I are unable to afford the tuition for classes and for me to take three months off work to successfully complete the program. With your help, I can take control of my future and show our son what a meaningful career looks like.

The details of the requested funds are below:

School - $10,000

After my certification, I would like the opportunity as a thank you to offer free basic welding classes to anyone who has donated. Please feel free to email me if you're interested.
Thank you so much for taking time to read and share.
