Women’s health education in Cambodia

I am in Siem Reap, Cambodia doing some volunteer work. I am working for a non-government, not for profit, organisation called Trailblazer Cambodia Organisation (TCO). https://www.tco-cambodia.org/

TCO identifies the needs of the local community and designs projects to address them, aiming to alleviate poverty and improve overall quality of life for the families that live there.

I have been tasked with providing health education to the 37 women who work in TCO, most of whom are financially and educationally disadvantaged.

I am hoping to raise money so that my work on women’s health education can be expanded into the broader Cambodian community.

Women have a disadvantaged position in Cambodian society. Many women remain ignorant about the importance of maintaining their health and their health is considered inferior to men’s.
