Mini Marathon for Irish Lung Fibrosis Association
My name is Mags Macauley and I was diagnosed with lung fibrosis in March 2020 which is a progressive terminal lung condition without a lung transplant. I am very thankful to have received a lung transplant in October 2023 and myself and lots of super supporters (Katie, Fiona, Suzanne, Sinead, Katherine, Arlene, Julie, Maeve, Dearbhla, Orla, Catherine, Olive, Shelly, AnneMarie, Bernie, Aideen, Cathy, Jenny, Jane, Barbara, Lisa, Danielle and Michelle) are undertaking the mini-marathon in aid of the Irish Lung Fibrosis Association on the 2nd of June. This charity were vital in allowing me to continue my exercise especially as my condition deteriorated and my oxygen requirements increased. They provide regular exercise classes online that helped me to maintain my strength and kept me in as fit a state as possible prior to receiving my lung transplant. They are a super organisation that are completely reliant on donations and do not receive any funding from government. Please help us to continue the vital work that they provide.
