MISSION

Women’s Domestic Freedom assists women who do not have the financial means for divorce obtain legal representation by providing free essential financial assistance regardless of their perceived financial status.

VISION

At Women’s Domestic Freedom, we envision a world where every woman lives free from the constraints of financial control by someone other than herself. We help women step into their power and reclaim their lives and pursue their dreams with confidence and dignity. We strive to be a leading force in breaking the cycle of financial insecurity by offering unwavering support and financial resources, ensuring that every woman has the opportunity to achieve independence and build a future filled with hope and opportunity.

Recently, I faced a difficult divorce and because of my struggle with a lack of financial independence, I had to borrow money for my attorney's retainer, only to find it depleted quickly. In a moment of deep frustration and despair, while crying on the phone with my sister, I had an epiphany: I need to start a non-profit to support women in similar situations. Despite my living paycheck to paycheck and having all my credit card debt in collections, I was ineligible for financial assistance from existing programs because I earned "too much money."

My experience underscored the urgent need for a new kind of support system for women who, like me, fall through the cracks of traditional aid programs.

In addition, my non-profit will also focus on supporting women's financial literacy and independence at any life stage.
