Raising funds for Matthew Hatala and family for a total business loss from fire. Matthew and son Joey are known for producing some of the most beautiful wood turned pieces. Mr Hatala has pieces spanning the globe in 10 museums. He is a local Athens, Georgia artist. One of the nicest men you’d meet that will help you to pursue your happiness as he has helped and given me wood and advice in my wood turning. With it being a total loss that total loss was 30 years of wood work. 30 years of slow growth.For those that don’t know the process, to a wood turner it’s like watching your child grow from birth to being adult only to loose them. The process is very slow from start to finish. Some pieces can be a year or more from start to finish.
