Woodburn Family Fundraiser

Hello,

I’m creating this Go Fund me for family friends of ours. Joe was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme in December of 2020. Since then, he has had 4 surgeries and additional hospital stays/visits. Unfortunately, the cancer has taken some mobility from his left side. Amanda was recently hospitalized due to heart difficulties. She was diagnosed with AFIB, therefore she needs to maintain a low stress level as much as possible. Amanda is making some updates to their family home to make Joe more comfortable. I’m trying to help take this financial burden off of her, so she doesn’t have to worry about the cost of a safe, happy, and functional space for them. Joe is currently confined mostly to the master bedroom. He cannot walk unassisted, and stairs are difficult for him. The home is a split level so thoughts of putting in a chair lift for him to use on the stairs has been discussed. They also plan on making renovations to the house, such as adding a bathroom that will be more accommodating to Joe’s condition and moving their bedroom to make it easier for him to enjoy time with family and friends.
