Woodbury Lane Startup

My name is Katelyn, age 23, and I'm a recent college graduate on an exciting pursuit to create an online women's clothing and home goods shop. The name will be Woodbury Lane, which is the name of the street I grew up on. I chose this name because I want to create a unique, sentimental, and memorable shopping experience for my customers. I want to be able to connect with them personally even though my company will be primarily online based. The style of my store's brand will be minimalistic in order to stand the test of time. The goal for this campaign is to raise funds for inventory. Most of the costs will be coming out of my own pocket because I know that starting off a new business with a loan and immediate debt is not wise. I want to be able to purchase quality clothing to sell that includes the basics, variations of classics, and timeless but trendy pieces as well to allow my future costumers to create the perfect working wardrobe. Home goods will be unique and mostly handmade items purchased wholesale through Etsy.

While I'd prefer to not have to begin my business using investors I have still worked out a full, personal business plan to help ensure a positive start and future for my business. Prospective directions for the company are to have a brick and mortar location, personal styling events, and possibly a mobile shop. It would mean the world to me if you would help fund my dream!
