We come to you with heavy hearts as we navigate a challenging time for the Wooden Robot family. One of our beloved Charlotte breweries, known for its unique brews and warm atmosphere, has temporarily closed its doors due to the unexpected loss of their co-owner, Dan Wade. During this closure, the dedicated and hardworking staff of Wooden Robot Brewery are facing uncertainty about their livelihoods.

About Wooden Robot Brewery:

Wooden Robot Brewery has been a cornerstone of our community, not just for its exceptional craft beers, but also for the incredible team that makes the brewery a second home for many. Unfortunately, the recent loss of one of their co-owners has led to the temporary closure of their brewery in South End and their taproom in NoDa as they mourn and regroup.

The Challenge:

The sudden closure has left their devoted staff without a source of income. These individuals, who have poured their passion and expertise into creating memorable experiences for their patrons, now find themselves facing financial strain during this difficult time.

We have established the Wooden Robot Brewery Staff Relief Fund to support their dedicated team during the closure. Your contributions will go directly to providing financial relief for their staff members, helping them cover essential expenses such as rent, groceries, and other necessities.

*Update: The NC Craft Brewers Guild kindly offered to handle the donation, but upon further research, the funds would not be preserved any differently than if they went straight to Wooden Robot. We are incredibly grateful for their efforts and support of the entire WRB family. The North Carolina Craft Brewers Guild is a not-for-profit 501(c)6 tax-exempt organization comprised of independent NC brewers, allied trade vendors, and retailers focused on promoting North Carolina craft beer.
