Woodruff Home Fire
Donation protected
In the early morning hours on August 6, Brian, Lynn and their youngest son, Matt, escaped an electrical home fire which claimed nearly all of their belongings. We all thank God that no one was injured. But recovering from an uninsured loss can also be devastating. People near Brian and Lynn have already begun to reach out to help them, but replacing all of the contents of one’s home is daunting, both emotionally and financially.
Brian and Lynn have always been willing to give the shirts off their backs to help others, but now their shirts are all smoke damaged, and they are the ones in need. As Brian’s sister living in Oklahoma City, I thought the best way to help them from a distance would be to start a fundraising campaign to help with temporary living expenses and to replace their lost belongings. They may be displaced anywhere from several days to three weeks.
Setting a goal was the hardest part because I have no idea what it will cost to replace all of their clothes, towels, linens, and household items. I know Brian, Lynn and Matt will be touched and grateful for any support they receive.
