Woody the Dachshund needs Surgery!
This is Woody! He is our 11 Month old Dachshund who has recently been through everything imaginable in his young life. 
We originally got Woody as a 6 month old runt of the litter who was underweight with stomach problems, he was stinky, he was always farting and was so skinny you could see his ribs clearly.
Fast forward 4 months and you have the healthiest & happiest little puppy you've ever seen, full of life and charisma and was the life of the party everywhere he and his sister Disney went.
Since November Woody's health has declined and is a shell of that happy puppy we once knew, he's slow, lethargic and doesn't have that effervescence for life and fun like he once did.
He was originally diagnosed with Pancreatitis which was very unusual for his age, sex and weight range and little did we know this was just the start of things to come.

2 weeks later despite his new healthy diet his condition continued to decline, he was admitted to SASH - the Small Animal Specialist Hospital in Tuggerah, NSW and they ran a series of tests and imagery to try and pinpoint the issue. He was then diagnosed with Von Willebrand's Disease or VWD which is a disease pre-disposed with Dobermans but also Dachshunds as their genetic make-up is very similar.

5 days later he was admitted to SASH again, Further tests have since been performed and have then cleared him of VWD, but that leaves us with more questions than answers so a CT Scan was performed and this has found that he has a tiny piece of metal in his pancreas of unknown origin, small enough that it wasn't even visible on X-Ray. They have also found that he has a series of cysts on his liver, this will all require surgery to be performed, we are meeting with the surgeon this week to go into more detail, I will provide updates on what's happening in my next update.

Woody means the world to us and the money raised here will save his life, he is way to young to be passing over the Rainbow Bridge and has too much life in him for us to give up on him now.
