Woody (Eugene) Woodard. 6:30 in the morning on July 29th, 2020 had a heart attack and went into cardiac arrest. His death was sudden and unexpected. Father, husband, and son. He brought his love, his music, his passion into everyone he met. He always had a light in his smile and in his eyes. Every person, every stranger, anyone he would pass in walking he would say hi and smile so big.
Woody had many hopes and dreams and on a lot of them through faith, love, and determination he accomplished them. He inspired everyone he met by telling his stories and his experiences. Woody would also talk about how proud he was of his family. All of his family being in one state and only being 15 miles away from each other. His parents, Gladys and Douglas Woodard. His wife, Remy Tongate-Woodard. His two children, Joell and Jazmine Woodard. As a family, they grew and learned together. Making memories, made traditions, smiling and laughing through it all together.
Woody’s passion also went into his music. He was a bass player, a singer, a drummer, a writer and so much more. He could play almost anything. He would stay up nights in his studio inside his house making music. His two most popular songs are Jealousy(Envy) and Heart of a champion. He taught his children to never care what people thought of you. Jealousy(Envy) was made for that reason. Be yourself and love yourself and it doesn’t matter what people say about you. Never give up and chase your dreams. Heart of a champion was made in honor for his daughter, Jazmine. He watched her grow through her martial arts journey. He knew that his daughter had a heart of champion just like he did. Those songs are available on any music platforms.
The Woodard family is in need of love and financial help. His family would love and would greatly appreciate any bit you could help out with. Please feel free to leave stories of Woody down below. We will have arrangements out soon for the funeral. If you would like to get in contact with the Woodard family please contact his daughter or his son. Flowers and love are much needed. Please love each other and live life with a smile. Never let anyone stop you from what you want. You are who you are. Be proud.
