Amber Word & Emerson Hance Hospital Fund
Hi!
As you probably know, Amber Word and Emerson Hance were in an accident Monday 5/31/21 in West Monroe. It was a head on collision that required them both to be air lifted to LSUS Shreveport. Emerson had emergency surgery to remove her appendix and part of her colon. She was intubated until Wednesday when they started weening her off of everything. She is awake, alert and aware of her surroundings. Amber was discharged on Tuesday with stitches and a concussion. Emerson will remain in the hospital for possibly 4 more weeks with therapy to follow.
The next several weeks will be challenging and exhausting for them. They will need a lot being out of town and at a hospital. Their main focus is of course Emerson and what she needs. I set this fund up to remind them to take care of themselves too whether that be snacks from the vending machine or a good meal and rest at a hotel nearby. I wanted to extend this to anyone else who felt led to help this family with meals, gas, clothing, hotels, hospital bills, or anything else they may need as they navigate through the next several weeks.
I love them dearly and it would mean so much to me to be able to bless them. Thank you in advance for your heart and your generosity!
