PA Triathlete Competing in 3 World Championships

Hi, my name is Greg White and I am asking you to join in supporting Dan Callahan. I live in Warriors Mark Township and Dan is my neighbor. We have seen Dan and his wife Kim going through their active daily lives. They have two sons that keep them busy. We have also observed Dan going through his workouts since my wife and I moved from Altoona four years ago. We thought that he was a dedicated fitness advocate. Recently, I discovered that Dan's workouts are more than keeping fit. Dan is a top Age Group (AG) triathlete!

Dan competes in Triathlons, Spartan Ultras, and other endurance-style events and has reached an elite level. He has qualified for the trifecta of the Triathlon World Championships:

< Ironman Half (70.3 miles) in Finland on 8/27/23

< Ironman Full (140.6) in France on 9/10/23

< World Triathlon Age Group Championship in Spain on 9/24/23 where he will be representing Team USA.

After a fifteen-year break from working out and training, Dan decided in 2018 to make a life change. He set a goal of finishing the Pittsburgh Marathon. His message to us is that if he can improve his health, so can you. A favorite quote is, "Whether you think you can, or think you can't - you're right."

There are substantial costs to making this once-in-a-lifetime trifecta happen. Some expenses that I would like to cover with this fundraiser are the entrance fees for the events (even representing the USA in Spain is not covered), European transportation from event to event, and other logistical expenses (getting your bike from race to race is costly).

Dan is a retired military veteran (Major) and his current career is working with the US Government supporting the numerous radiation oncology centers treating our warfighter, their dependents, and veterans.
