I am raising money for Education for the Children Foundation in Guatemala. Any donation will make an impact. The School of Hope is celebrating World EFTC Day 2019, their annual international fundraiser. I am fundraising from Tennessee, and there are fundraisers happening all over the world! The School of Hope is an international not for profit that works in partnership with disadvantaged families, children and young adults in Guatemala to break the cycle of poverty. I have seen and experienced their impact firsthand!
I am specifically aiming my goal at providing funds for the new Special Education program to support students with disabilities at The School of Hope. Through the new program, the school provides students with in class support and teachers with specialized training, ultimately improving the students' quality of education and thus their opportunities for success in either further education or in a career.
I want to raise enough money to pay for all of the Educational Psychology Sessions for an entire school year. Offering these sessions to the students costs $240 a month, so I have set my goal at $3000.
These sessions focus on the students goal setting, reinforcing concepts from class they had difficulties in, and forming a base that they may be missing in reading, writing, or math.
