World Judo Kata Championships Fundraiser

My name is Seb Murphy and I have been selected to represent Australia at the World Judo Kata Championships in Poland, alongside my Dad, who is also my Kata partner. After winning Gold at the Australian National Championships in 2021 and Silver in 2022, we are now travelling to Europe to compete against the best in the world.

Judo is so much more than a sport to us; but a way of living, learning, and growing. Collectively, we have committed over 50 years to studying, training, and competing in Judo. We now have the opportunity and the platform to showcase our hard work, passion, and talent on the big stage. Unfortunately, there is very little funding available to Judo as it has a relatively small community throughout Australia. This means that there is almost no financial support for us and considerable out-of-pocket expenses.

It is estimated that this opportunity will cost us approximately $10,000. All money raised will go to the costs of flights, hotels, Judogi, training and recovery equipment, supplements and nutrition, and more. Any contribution means the world to us, and will be a great help. Thank you!
