World MH Day fundraiser for Yellow Ladybugs
Psychocinematic Podcast is running a fundraiser in honour of World Mental Health Day, on the 10th of October 2023.
The theme for this year’s World Mental Health Day is Mental Health is a universal human right. That makes it extremely fitting that the Psychocinematic community has chosen to donate all funds raised to Yellow Ladybugs, an autistic-led, non-government organisation with strong bridges to the community.
Yellow Ladybugs are dedicated to the happiness, success and celebration of autistic girls and women (including cis & trans women, non binary and gender diverse individuals). They believe autistic individuals of all genders deserve to be recognised, valued, accepted and supported in order to realise their full potential.
Yellow Ladybugs actively seek to address the many challenges the autistic community face, including barriers to diagnosis, lack of inclusion in school and employment, and access to support services.
Given that research from Aspect shows that up to 46% of children on the autism spectrum between 3-16 years and 70% of children aged 10-14 experience at least one mental health condition, and suicide is one of the leading causes of death of autistic people, it’s never been more crucial to increase mental health supports for autistic and neurodivergent young people.
Your donation to the cause puts you into the running to win an INCREDIBLE prize pack, full of wonderful works by mental health and neurodivergent advocates & creators. The FIRST prize pack includes:
