World Refugee Week

For World Refugee Week, Christ Church Cathedral and Our Table will be partnering to provide wholesome and healthy, ‘grab and go’ lunches to asylum seekers living in emergency accommodation and direct provision centres around Dublin. Each centre will receive an invitation for a particular day, with lunchtime collection on the cathedral grounds available between 12.00 and 2:00 pm. As our society begins to re-emerge from the recent weeks of restricted movement and physical distancing, we hope to create a sense of warmth and welcome for asylum seekers as we all seek to find our ‘new normal’, making connections while living within the requirements of social distancing.

Can you contribute towards these Refugee Week lunches? Financial support is needed to purchase ingredients and secure kitchen space for Our Table to prepare and pack their delicious food. We would also value donations of Leap cards (with stored value of €20) and One4All vouchers (with value of €25), that can be given as gifts to our guests, so that they too can take part as society and shops re-open.
