The Gadget Girls need your help to take on THE WORLD!!
The Gadget Girls -- a rare all-girls robotics team – have won a spot representing Washington, DC in the world’s largest robotic competition, the VEX Robotics World Championship in Dallas, Texas! But, the Gadget Girls need your help to get to Dallas. Please donate to help us cover the trip's costs, starting with the initial $1200 ticket just to get in! We are also raising money to help pay for transportation, food, and housing for the week-long tournament as well as cool costumes, decorations for our booth, and more! We’ve set a goal to raise $8,000 to cover the cost of this trip.
How rare is an all-girls robotics team? A 2019 study showed less than one quarter of all VEX Robotics competitors are girls. According to Girls Who Code, only 37.5% of girls even participate in computer science in their K-12 years. The Gadget Girls are out to show the world that the can code, engineer, and compete with anyone.
Together let’s make a difference. Thanks for your support!
