World Skiff Championships

My name is Nicola, on behalf of Strathpeffer District & Community and Sutor Skiffies Rowing Clubs,  we are organising a 24 hour relay row. To be held on the Cromarty Firth starting 2pm April 15th 2022 from the Storehouse at Foulis to Ferryton near Cromarty.  This event is to raise money to cover transport costs for our St. Ayles' Skiffs to compete at the Skiffie World Championships in Kortgene, The Netherlands, on 27th June to 2nd July 2022.

The Scottish Coastal Rowing Association has over 250 register St Ayles Skiffs, which have been built by Scottish coastal community groups and increasingly by groups worldwide.  The first World Championships were hosted in Ullapool in 2013 and has set the pace in which coastal rowing has become a fast growing competitive sport.  We will compete against 59 other clubs from 6 countries, some as far as NZ and hope to bring home some Gold medals in all age categories. We hope to highlight this great sport to all ages in our local community by representing our club at The Worlds. It is great to get out on the water and be part of a club and we would be grateful for all donations to help send our boats to The Netherlands.   All additional donations over our target will be donated to the RNLI.
