Kilohana Hoe Wa'a World Sprints 2022

My name is Kaina Makua, Executive Director of Kumanoikeala Non-Profit and head coach of Kilohana Hoe Waʻa Canoe Club located in Waimea, Kauai. 
 
This year we have qualified to compete in the 2022 International Vaa Federation World Sprints which is held every two years at various locations around the world, this year it will be held in London, England. The World Sprints will be held from August 8th to the 16th. We are currently raising funds for airfare, lodging, and meals for 12 paddlers. Kilohana Canoe Club has qualified 3 Girls teams and 3 individuals representing Hawaii in the following races:
16 Girls V1 (One-Man Canoe) Kahiau Makua
19 Girls V1 Ella  Beck
Open Women V1 Kaleikaumaka Makua
16 Girls V6/V12 (Six-Man Canoe) Kahiau Makua, Ambrieal Kanahele, Aveda Maligro, Laulea Durant, Neah Hoʻokano, Iliau Makua.
19 Girls V6/V12 Kahiau Makua, Aliyah Taba, Leolani Fernandez, Dekota Lazaro, Mekayla Finch, Ella Beck.
 
We have one month to raise $20,000 that will pay for 12 paddlers flights to London in August. We humbly request your support by making a donation towards these Kauaʻi youth participating in this global event.
