New Robot Funding - Linbots NJ VEX Robotics 2019

***UPDATE May 2019 - We WON the Excellence Award at States and qualified to represent the State of NJ at the World VEX Competition in Louisville, Kentucky!***

We are an independent Middle School VEX Robotics Team from Linwood, New Jersey.  By participating in robotics, we hope to inspire youth in our community through creativity, innovation, and teamwork.  We started our team in September, 2018, with four members:  8th graders Emma Savov, Nathan Fontana, and Farley O'Brien, and  6th grader, Alex Savov.  Since then, we have been designing, constructing, and altering our robot, as well as competing in a series of competitions.

So far, we have participated in three open competitions, the vast majority of the opposing teams being High School level.  At our first competition, we received the Judge's Award. At the third, we received the Design Award.

At all three competitions, we competed against about 30 teams, only one other team being in Middle School.

Due to receiving the Design Award we qualified and competed for the New Jersey 2018-2019 VEX Robotics Competition State Championship, where we are one of only two Middle School teams to have qualified.

We prevailed at States, and qualified to compete in the VEX  Robotics World Championship in Louisville, Kentucky in April to represent the state of New Jersey.

We attended the Worlds where almost 200 middle school teams from around the world competed.  It was a tremendous experience, we met teams from all around the US and around world.  We are thrilled and honored to have been invited, and now we want to qualify and get back there again next year!

At the closing ceremony, they announced the new game for next year's competition - it is called Tower Takeover.  Our team is very excited to get started rebuilding our robot for this new game.  We hope you will consider donating as the parts are expensive and we have to send the "brain" of our robot to VEX for reprogramming.

Thank you so much for your consideration!  And we would love to have a corporate sponsor to put on the back of our tee-shirts for next year, please get in touch if you know of any company's that would want a robot from NJ as a mascot!!
