Immersive art about people working together to push the limits of human experience. Join us for playful, interactive exploration combining dance, music, and visions of space hallucinated by artificial intelligence algorithms. The purpose of the campaign is to both cover production costs and to compensate the artists for their work required to take the audience on this journey.
The time is now: Shows are Nov 11 & 12, 2016! All donors receive free admission to the show of your choice.
Where: The Studios, at 1801 5th Ave Seattle .
Created as part of the Artists and Machine Intelligence project, and in support of UN-declared World Space Week. This piece is fundamentally about people joining together, and we're excited to have you with us!
Moving together with purpose: Astronauts don't get to orbit by themselves - getting even one person off Earth requires massive group effort and resources. The development of new technology, such as machine learning, is not an individual pursuit but a weaving together of many minds. While much of Western histories and legends portray a singular Hero, achieving alone, in our journey the collective is the Hero.
LAUNCH LOVE: The beauty of this art is entirely from the energy of all the contributors. By encouraging this energy with dollars, providing our fellow artists with financial compensation for their time, we believe the likelihood of our community continuing to make art increases, rather than the (if unfunded much more likely) scenario that they find art an untenable use of their energies in favor of some higher paid position.
Who are we: This art piece is a collaboration between artists, engineers, and audience. We're creating an artship to take you on a voyage. Help us launch!
