Worldwide eradication of Polio

Running for worldwide Polio eradication:

The Baslerstadtlauf 2024 is nearly upon us. On Saturday 23rd November 2024, around 15 members of Rotary Clubs Basel International (RCBI) and Basel am Rhein as well as Rotaract Basel will participate in the 41st BaslerStadtlauf to raise money for Rotary’s World Wide Project - the eradication of Polio virus.

Since 1988 Polio cases have been reduced by 99.9%! However, until it’s eradicated every child remains at risk (mostly affecting children under 5 years old). That’s why we need to continue to fundraise to provide the vaccinations and people to those countries where it’s not freely available. This website provides a concise explanation www.endpolio.org.
