Worst call you can ever receive

OMG, I don't know what to say. My heart is in my throat and my body is shaking. It is Saturday, August 5 at 11:15 pm. I just received a call that the accident on John Wise Line this past Thursday which took 4 to the hospital was my sister and nephew.
As I sit and write this I am hoping for the best while I wait to hear from the OR. Yes, Heather is in the operating room right now, while Ryan lies in a hospital bed with damage to his C spine, his lungs being drained and so much more. I have no idea what else I will be told until she is back in a room and can explain everything.
From what I understand - this accident was terrible, horrifying really. I won't say much else at this point other than Heather was going the speed limit of 80 km/hr when the accident happened.
I am writing today because Heather's son, Dominic, called to tell me everything and said they were thinking of a go fund me, or something? So, I am not sure what to do with myself and I know that, in this moment, this is the best way I can help. They are going to need help. They are going to need funds. I know we are all strapped right now. I know that we are all hurting right now and some more than others. If you can find it in your heart to just give a little it will be greatly appreciated and warmly welcomed.
It is going to take Heather a long time to recover. Some of her internal organs have been damaged. Who knows how long she will be out of work which means there could be very little income coming in. Ryan is waiting for surgery on his C Spine because it was damaged in the accident. They are draining his lungs, right now, because he has pneumonia when the feeding tube did not take. Ryan is a lovely and vibrant little 10 years old and we can only pray that this will not adversely affect the rest of his life.
I want to thank you in advance for even taking the time to read what I have written. I will try to update as I can.

...as you can see, there is not much information being given at this time.
On behalf of the family, thank you.

Both Heather and Ryan are being well taken care of in the CCU. Heather's surgery went well and they have been trying to wake her from a medically induced coma for the past many hours. I heard that after we left she was showing signs of waking. Ryan has a lot of broken bones and surgery for his neck (C spine) has been scheduled. Both Heather and Ryan will have a few surgeries coming up over the next bit. Thankfully, they are fighters and showing the hospital staff that firsthand.
Hope.

A Facebook page has been created - please consider joining (updates and more):
Nyomi, her daughter, is asking people to private message her for updates - which makes perfect sense since she is there daily with her mom and Ryan. You can find her on FB under: Nyomi Cuadra and she is also in the group.
