Worst Luck / Best Friends (for Aaron Edge)
Donation protected
On February 21st, our friend Aaron Edge was on a bicycle ride when a dog ran out in front of him and they collided. Aaron was unconscious for 20 minutes in the road, then taken to the emergency room via ambulance. He fractured a vertebrae in his neck, broke his right scapula, suffered a serious concussion, cracked two ribs and separated two fingers. He was released after two nights in the hospital.
Every day, since 2013, Aaron has battled multiple sclerosis. You know him and, though he’s tough, this crash is a serious setback. The trauma of his new injuries only causes more stress to a person with MS and builds up to an incredibly tough situation for him.
There is good news: Aaron is a tough guy, is already out of bed for half of each day, moving his body some and on his way to recovery. He is seeing specialists, looks like surgery won’t be needed.
But, our friend is missing two months of work and his health insurance won’t cover everything. If you know Aaron—from cycling, musical projects, or are a customer of his design work—please consider helping him with whatever you can spare. As you can imagine, anything helps.
Our goal reflects the estimated cost of bills, rent, groceries, and other expenses required during this time.
The above photo of Aaron, taken by his friend Martin, shows our buddy standing at the crash location as some snow falls.
Thank you very much, please pass this on, and repost.
Let's help our friend Aaron!!
