Help Bobby fight cancer

A lot of you know Bobby Thornton as “Rock n Roll” Bobby or “Metal Bob,” but we know him as a loving husband, father, grandpa, brother, son, and friend.

Bobby recently went to the hospital with severe pains in his stomach, thinking maybe it was his gallbladder. He soon found out that it was not his gallbladder and was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Intrahepatic Cholangiocarcinoma with metastatic Lymphadenopathy, a rare cancer that started in his bile ducts and has spread. Our worlds have been turned upside down since we heard the news.

Bobby started his chemo treatments this past week. He had to retire suddenly from his job to focus on getting the best treatment options he can and spending time with his family and friends. As you know, Bobby is a fighter and will continue to fight this with his wife Marcia and his family right beside him. He continues to stay positive, but the road ahead of him is a very tough one.

His loving wife, Marcia, will need to continue working full-time at her job to provide health insurance. Even so, they are unexpectedly down to a one-income household and the treatment to fight this cancer is expensive. We are reaching out for a little help to give them a little less to worry about while Bobby fights this. We know times are hard for everyone right now, so any contribution would be greatly appreciated. We want to help Bobby fight this and keep the world a little brighter with him here. If you know Bobby, you know he lights up any room he enters. He is the life of every party and can be found telling a joke (it’s where I get all of my good ones) or singing some of our favorite music! He would give the shirt off his back (even if it is his normal sleeveless shirt) to help anyone in need. He has always provided for his family, and now we want to help him.
