Chance’s Emergency Surgery
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Bella and I’m raising money to help cover the costs of my dog’s (Chance) surgery to remove an obstruction in his stomach.
For those who don’t know, I met Chance 4 years ago when I was at my lowest. He saved me. I was in high school at the time, living on my own, wrapping burritos at Taco Bell, and struggling to find a reason to get out of bed every day. A couple months before my grandpa died of pancreatic cancer, I went to visit him in Florida. I had been annoying everyone day and night, begging to get a dog. For months, it was a hard “no,” but my grandpa changed everyone’s minds with a Facebook meme that said “Life’s too short—
get the damn dog.” The day I flew back home, 2 hours before my flight, I signed the papers and adopted Chance.
For the past 4 years, Chance has been my light; my rock; my service dog; my heated blanket; my everything. Chance showed me how to love when my heart was full of anger. Heck, Chance was my main motivation to apply to college—making his acting debut in my first video ever, “Man’s Best Friend .” I wouldn’t be following my dreams in film school without my little Chancey.
That being said, covering the costs of his tests, surgery, and recovery is, well, close to impossible at the moment. I’m a full time college student at DePaul University in Chicago. I make most of my money as a dog walker and the occasional editing gig. I feel guilty even asking for money because I’ve always had an “I’ll figure it out myself” attitude, but to be honest, I’m scared. I’m scared that I might lose my best friend tomorrow during his surgery.
All in all, thank you for taking the time to read this. Any donations and shares are greatly appreciated.
With love,
Bella❤️
